Im Februar 2025 hat der EJW-Weltdienst die Mitglieder der Länder- und Projektausschüsse zum Klausurwochenende eingeladen. In den anderthalb Tagen im Bernhäuser Forst sollte es darum gehen, sich kennenzulernen, zu erfahren was die anderen Ausschüsse bewegt und ins Gespräch zu kommen.
Peter Huber, langjähriges Mitglied im Nigeria-Ausschuss, empfand in den beiden Tagen vor allem den persönlichen Austausch aber auch die thematische Beschäftigung als wertvoll. Außerdem teilt er folgende Eindrücke vom Wochenende:
Bereits der bunt dekorierten Tagungsraum war gleich zu Beginn der Klausur, so etwas wie die „Eintrittskarte“ in die Vielfalt der Weltdienstarbeit. Share & Pray war das Thema vom Freitagabend.
Durch Kurzberichte aus den jeweiligen Länder- und Projektausschüssen wurden wir abgeholt und hineingenommen in die aktuellen Situationen der Partnerländer. Wie gut, dass wir die teilweise bedrückenden Erzählungen und Schwierigkeiten, aber auch die erfrischenden Eindrücke miteinander im Gebet und im Singen vor Gott bringen konnten.
Am Samstagvormittag gab es einen interessanten und kurzweiligen Impuls von Linda Gugelfuß zum Thema Wirkungsorientierung und wie diese für die praktische Arbeit genutzt werden kann.
Am Samstagnachmittag stand als letzter Punkt die Besprechung in den eigenen Ausschüssen auf der Tagesordnung. Neben verschiedenen Absprachen rund um die vakante Stelle der hauptamtlichen Person ging es vor allem um die anstehende Märzreise. Eine vierköpfige Gruppe wird für ca. 10 Tage nach Nigeria reisen und die Partner besuchen. Wir wünschen der Reisegruppe alles Gute und Gottes Segen!
In February 2025, the EJW World Service has called members of the country and project committees to a conference weekend. During the one and a half days in Bernhäuser Forst (a house of the ejw close to Stuttgart), the aim is to get to know each other, find out what moves the other committees and talk to each other.
Peter Huber, a long-term member of the Nigeria Committee, found the two days to be particularly valuable for personal dialogue as well as thematic discussions. He also shares the following impressions of the weekend:
Right at the start of the meeting, the colourfully decorated conference room was something of an ‘entry ticket’ to the diversity of world service work. Share & Pray was the theme of Friday evening.
Short reports from the various country and project committees gave us an insight into the current situations in the partner countries. How good that we were able to bring the sometimes troubling stories and difficulties, but also the refreshing impressions, before God together in prayer and singing.
On Saturday morning, Linda Gugelfuß gave an interesting and entertaining talk on the topic of impact orientation and how this can be used for practical work.
On Saturday afternoon, the last item on the agenda was a meeting of the individual committees. In addition to various agreements regarding the vacant position of the full-time staff member, the main topic was the upcoming trip in March. A group of four will be travelling to Nigeria for around 10 days to visit the partners. We wish the travelling group all the best and God’s blessing!
